Product:
Two plies of 0.32” durable air-bubble film laminated between either two layers of low-E reflective metalized foil (Double Foil) or one layer of low-E reflective foil and a heavy-duty white woven facing (Foil/White Woven). Solid, non-breathable vapor barrier. Standard rolls: 4'×75' and 4'×125' (≈ 300 / 500 ft² coverage). Nominal thickness: 0.32”. Emittance (foil side): E=0.05 (≈ 95% reflectivity). Class A / Class 1 fire rating. WVTR (ASTM E-96): ~0.02 perms. Mold/Mildew: No growth.
General Description:
Polyshield Double P2 is a double-bubble reflective insulation and vapor barrier engineered to combat summer heat gain and winter heat loss while reducing moisture condensation and blocking water vapor. The encapsulated air bubbles create a reliable thermal break to limit conductive heat transfer through the assembly.
Double Foil delivers maximum reflectivity on both sides - ideal inside finished walls, roofs, and other concealed cavities that benefit from a reflective surface facing an air space.
Foil/White Woven adds a puncture-resistant, tear-tough white woven facing for exposed interiors where a clean, bright finish and extra durability are required (shops, garages, metal buildings, carports).
Both variations share the same core performance: stiff, easy-to-install format; long-life LDPE blend; and resistance to delamination for stable performance over time.
Highlights:
- 7-layer double-bubble structure for strength and thermal break
- Low-emittance foil (E=0.05) reflecting ≈95% radiant heat
- Stiffer than most bubble products for faster installs and reduced sagging
- Solid, non-breathable vapor barrier; helps control condensation
- Durable facings: choose Double Foil (both sides reflective) or White Woven (clean, heavy-duty exposed finish)
- Suited to all building insulation applications; excellent in metal buildings/carports/post-frame
- Minimizes thermal bridging in steel structures
- Will not delaminate - long-term durability and stability
- Works great in retrofits; compatible with hybrid installs (foam or fiberglass)
- Delivers strong effective R-values when installed with air space
